RX Plastics – sponsoring projects in our community

RX Plastics are committed to work with and support the local community in a variety of ways.

EA Networks Centre

We are Bronze Partners of Ashburton’s exciting new development, the EA Networks Centre. Due for completion late 2014/early 2015, this impressive sporting complex will be home to a range of different sports in the local community. Designed by acclaimed Christchurch architects Warren and Mahoney, the leisure facility will feature a main 25 metre 10 lane pool, leisure pool and warm water programme pool for learn to swim courses, as well as four indoor courts and spectator seating. There is also the option to add a velodrome, sports grounds and other sports and recreation facilities as part of the development in the future. The EA Networks Centre will be an exciting addition to Ashburton and the local community. Check out the EA Networks Centre for further information.

South Island Farmer of the Year

Along with other sponsors such as BNZ, CRT and Ravensdown, we sponsor the Lincoln University Foundation South Island Farmer of the Year Award. This year the prestigious award was taken out by the Canterbury based dairy enterprise Synlait. According to the judges, Synlait is a prime example of New Zealand’s leadership role in innovative and entrepreneurial agricultural practice.

The South Island Farmer of the Year Award acknowledges outstanding farm management practice, innovation and farmers’ contributions to leadership on land. Another of the determining factors in the competition is the potential for knowledge transfer so that other farmers can benefit. The winner is given the opportunity to further develop their skills with a $15,000 travel or education award to explore farming methods offshore as well as support to host a field day on their property to promote their farm. For more information
on the Award, check out the Lincoln University Foundation website.
